Seabrook with Daddy!

The first week that Kevin has been home since May...and Addie and I took him to Seabrook Island for the weekend...well, actually he drove so I guess he took us!

Kevin thought he would be able to do what we always do when we arrive in Charleston...jump from restaurant to restaurant eating. I knew better but he didn't! Addie did not want to sit still in the first restaurant, much less go to any more!

Saturday, after eating breakfast on Isle of Palms, Addie and I took Kevin shopping...our favorite sport! We walked around downtown Charleston and up and down King Street. We did a lot more window shopping than buying.

Sunday, before we left Seabrook, we walked on the beach. Addie thought it was a perfect morning for swimming, too! On our way home, we visited Magnolia Plantation. It was beautiful. We took the boat tour and Addie loved it. She thought the tour guide was talking to her!

My Little Caterpillar

I was trying to get a couple of pictures so that I could pick one for Addisyn's first birthday invitations...yes it has almost been a year! So, her birthday party theme will be The Very Hungry Caterpillar, like her nursery. I dressed her in a green outfit, took her quilt from her crib and cushion from her chair to make a background and gave her an apple to hold...what I didn't realize was that she was gonna actually EAT the apple and run off! Here are some pictures of my little caterpillar!

Vacation Day 6

Today I decided that we needed a day not on the beach...Addie had to much sun yesterday. So, after breakfast, Chandler suggested that we go to the Children's Museum of the Lowcountry. This is a great hands on museum especially for younger children. All three kids had a blast.

After the museum, we ate lunch at the Charleston Tea Company and had some dessert at the Cupcake! Then, the boys somehow talked me into taking them to Patriots Point to see the USS Yorktown.

Later that evening, we met up with my bestest, Allison, and had dinner at A.W. Shucks. This is a really great restaurant if you are looking for a restaurant in downtown Charleston. After dinner, we went down to the Battery for some photo's.

Vacation Day 5

Vacation Day 4

I bought both boys boogie boards...I guess I should have bought one for Addie too! She took Chandler's hostage so the boys were "fighting" over Bailey's. Later on, Addie gave Bailey's boogie board a mud bath...I guess it needed exfoliating.



The boogie boards were a great investment. The boys were entertained with them for 4 hours. Addie on the other hand got a little sleepy...
But the boys keep right on riding waves.












For dinner tonight, we went to a restaurant at the Bohicket Marina called Rosebank Farms Cafe. While we waited on our tabel, we walked along the Marina and looked at all the yachts and boats.

Vacation Day 3

Today, the boys went golfing with my cousin, Brian Benenhaley. First, we all had lunch at the Beach Club. At 1:00pm, the boys had a golf lesson with some of the pro's from the pro shop. After that, the three of them shot 10 holes of golf. The boys had a BLAST! That is all they talked about all afternoon! Luckily, Brian got a few pictures while they were on the golf course.



























While the boys played golf, Addie and I went to the pool (it's much easier to take her to the pool when I'm by myself). Addie decided that she was "big enough" to "jump" off of the side of the pool and go all the way underwater!



















Then, Addie decided she wanted to be a monkey....


But she is my little beach baby!

Vacation Day 2

All three kids enjoyed the water. The boys even played with their sister in the surf this morning.















The boys were trying to build a wall to block the water...so Addie decided she was gonna help...









they didn't want her help...so she just got in the "water hole" they had made!



That afternoon, we went to the pool for awhile...


















After all the fun in the sun, we went out to dinner to the little pizza place in Freshfields Village and then had ice cream for dessert. The boys were very well behaved today and I am so proud of them!

All three kids were in the bed asleep before 9pm! It was a great day...we wish Kevin was here with us though!

Vacation Day 1

Today we finally made it on vacation! We left the house around 9 this morning. FIrst, we had to stop in Lexington and pick up Bailey!!

We arrived in Charleston around lunch time...so of course we stopped by the Market to do a little shopping. Then made a lunch stop at Bubba Gumps!

We made it to our villa on Seabrook around 3, unloaded the car and decided to hit the beach of an hour or so....


Addie was already to hit the sand for a while!



She loved the beach! She played in the sand...well, actually ate the sand. She loved the waters and everytime the waves break on her legs, she just squealed! It was soo cute....I can't wait til we go back tomorrow!

WHAT'S THE BEST THING ON A HOT SUMMER DAY?

ICE CREAM, OF COURSE!


NOT ONLY DID ADDISYN DISCOVER ICE CREAM RESENTLY, BUT SHE HAS ALSO DISCOVERED THAT SHE CAN USE HER 5 TEETH TO BITE THE ICE CREAM CONE!!!


AND, SHE LOVES THE MESS SHE MAKES WITH THE ICE CREAM TOO!

Stone Mountain Part II

Although we were only at Stone Mountain for a day....I believe we took enough pictures for a week! The boys played mini golf...


Addie took her first ride on a train and this is what she thought about it:


When we rode to the top of the mountain, we tried to "push the boys off" (not really but they did have a good time taking tons of pictures that looked like they were falling off...I will post more of these pictures periodically).
