Stone Mountain Part II

Although we were only at Stone Mountain for a day....I believe we took enough pictures for a week! The boys played mini golf...


Addie took her first ride on a train and this is what she thought about it:


When we rode to the top of the mountain, we tried to "push the boys off" (not really but they did have a good time taking tons of pictures that looked like they were falling off...I will post more of these pictures periodically).

Stone Mountain - SkyHike

On Friday, the kids and I, Uncle Danny, James and their boys, and Mimi and Poppi went to Stone Mountain. The first thing we had to do was SkyHike.
It took us 3 hours (including waiting in line and going through the course). Uncle Danny and I took the 4 boys through the course while James took pictures. Poppi and Mimi watched Addie. !
While waiting in line, Chandler was a big talker! He was going to go first and on all 3 levels. He made it through the first 2 levels! Bailey wasn't really sure about going on it at all but he made it through the first level! Jaden and Jacob made it through all 3 levels, although Jacob almost jumped on Uncle Danny's back for some of the elements.

While we were on SkyHike, Addie decided that she wanted to play in the little creek. Mimi said that Addie just needed to stick her feet in the water.

When we got off of SkyHike, this is what I found....

Needless to say, everyone was having a blast!

Happy Birthday Poppi!

Today was Daddy's birthday. After church, Tequila, Jason, Kensleigh and Nanny came down for a cook-out to celebrate Daddy's birthday. Jason grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and we had a hamburger birthday cake, too. After we ate lunch, Addie and Kensleigh went outside to play in the pool...Poppi decided to "jump" in with them!

Winchester, VA

Addie and I started our travels to Winchester, VA after dropping Chandler off at football camp on Sunday, June 6. We stayed in Greensboro, NC with Allison Sunday night and got up Monday morning to continue on our way. We finally made it to the hotel around 3:30 Monday afternoon. We spent the week with Kevin. He was in Winchester at the UDC for pre-deployment meetings, but we did get to see him in the evenings. Of course, Addie was also up and ready for breakfast before Kevin had to leave for the UDC every morning. In the afternoons, when Kevin returned, we took Addie to the pool so she could swim with her daddy (because the pool was too cold for mommy)! After pool time, we went and grabbed somehting to eat before Addie would crash for the night.
Addie and my job, while Kevin was in meetings all day, was to gather everything he needed for Afghanistan. One afternoon Kevin came back with his dog tags...Addie really enjoyed playing with them. One evening we were packing his sea bags and he decided to pack Addie, too!











We had a great time with Kevin. He left Friday to start his travels to Afghanistan. Addie and I left Friday morning and drove all the way back home.



We are all gonna miss him very much! We love you Kevin!!

Schools out for Summer...

FINALLY the boys are out of school for the summer!

Chandler will be going to football camp Sunday-Tuesday and then spending a couple of weeks with the Villanueva's. Have fun!

Sunday after dropping Chandler off at football camp, Addie and I will be driving to Greensboro, NC to spend the night with Allison. Monday morning, we will get up and drive the rest of the way to Winchester, VA to spend the week with Kevin before he flies out on Friday. Friday, Addie and I will start our journey back home, stopping in Greensboro for the night.
