He Made It!

Kevin finally made it to Minot, North Dakota on Tuesday at around 8pm (eastern). He had a small "accident" when he reached Minot and tried to take a picture of the sign. He tipped his truck on it's side in the snow, but nothing was wrong with the truck...he just buried the truck up to the axles. A nice older gentleman came by and pulled him out. If you want to know what Kevin saw on his journey across country...here are a few pictures.

Thursday, we packed Kevin's clothes and other things in his truck. I packed mine and the kids things in my car, picked the kids up from school early and we all headed to Atlanta. We started getting snow an hour outside of Atlanta but made it to Uncle Danny and James' before the roads became icy.

Friday, everyone stayed home due to the road conditions and the freezing temperatures.

Saturday was the dreaded day for us. Kevin left Atlanta around 9am. He didn't reach any bad weather until he was near Nashville where the snow started falling and the roads had ice spots. He did make it to Rolla, MO safely. He will be there spending time with Chris and Chase until Monday morning. He will leave then and travel towards North Dakota. His plan is to reach North Dakota by late Tuesday afternoon. It is a 14hr drive from Missouri to North Dakota, so he will be taking two days to get there due to the weather and roads. Please continue to pray for Kevin as he continues his journey.

This afternoon the kids and I will be traveling back home to get ready for the school week.

Fussy Baby...

Over the past several weeks Addie has been extremely fussy...actually it started right around Christmas. This past Tuesday I took her to the see Dr. Collins. I would like to unhappily announce that we have now joined the Ear Infection Club. Addisyn has ear infections in both ears:-( She also has begun to teeth - yes, I know she is too young to start teething but I guess someone forgot to tell her that (they also forgot to tell her that she is too little to want to sit up from a lying down position, crawl, or even think she can begin to walk but she does try on a regular basis). She seems to think that she is as big as her two brothers!
On a different note, she did learn something new today! I had to go to momma and daddy's to wash some clothes due to a broken washer. Addisyn was laying on her stomach on a pallet in the middle of the living room when she decided that she no longer wanted to be on her stomach and she ROLLED over to her back. After doing it once, she loved the reaction she got and decided to do it over and over again! She also has learned how to scoot her body around. She is getting so big!

Please pray for our family in this upcoming year. Kevin will be leaving to travel to Minot, North Dakota for work on January 9th. Although we will miss him alot, we feel this is what is best for our family at this point in time.
