Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, we got Miss Clause dressed up in her little outfit and headed to Augusta to see some friends and do some last minute shopping. After that, we headed to Poppi and MiMi's house to celebrate Christmas with them.

First, we had to do our traditional stair picture. If the families get any bigger, we will out grow the stairs.

We did big gifts first. The looks on the little ones` faces was priceless.

Addisyn got a high chair which she loved! She could sit in it and watch the other four get excited about their gifts.
Alden got a work bench with tools. He had to do some work too! Kensleigh got a vanity. She had to brush her hair before we could proceed with anymore gifts.

Bailey and Chandler got the Raider CS-35 nerf gun that holds 35 bullets. This was the newest nerf gun to come out and of course that was exactly what they needed. It's just more bullets for the dogs to chew on.

After we got the kids to sit back down, we did stockings and then opened the rest of the gifts. Of course, everyone got way to much stuff and that was before Santa came to visit!

Mommy's Lil Helpers

Since Mommy was trying to finish wrapping presents, Daddy & I decided to stay out of her way!

To Grandaddy's house we went...

Over the creeks and through the woods to Grandaddy's house we went. This past Sunday we celebrated Christmas with my grandparents. It was great to have the most of the family together. The only people that were missing was my cousin Amanda and her family. We ate a wonderful lunch and then took pictures of all the little ones.
Poppi and Mimi's favorite grandchildren: Kensleigh, Alden, Bailey, Chandler, and Addisyn

Some of Nana and Grandaddy's great grands: Bailey, Chandler holding Addisyn, Alden holding Olivia, and Kensleigh

After that, we opened presents. If you are like me, I never know what my kids get and from who they are from. I did take pictures though. Bailey loves playing with his legos and new car. Chandler has already memorized most of his book and set his airplanes out with the ones he already has. Addisyn has a blast chasing her rubber ducky around the bathtub, adores her Precious Moment's doll, and can't wait to get some money from Poppi to put in her new piggy bank.

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

Yesterday we finally went and got our christmas tree. It was so cold outside that we just picked one that was already cut down. I let the boys pick out what tree they wanted to get and of course they got the tallest one!

This morning Kevin and I set the tree in the stand and put the lights on it. The boys decorated it when they came in from school this afternoon and Addisyn slept in her swing.

When she woke up, she loved looking at all the lights on the tree - we even made up a song:
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree
O how I love to look at your lights.
I look around and they catch my eye.
It makes me not want to cry.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas Tree
O how I love to look at your lights.

Here is a picture of the finished project:

2 Months

Yesterday Addie had her 2 month check-up. While waiting for the doctor to come in, she talked to the owl that was on her shirt.

She weighed in at 11.2 pounds (50 percentile) and 21 3/4 inches long (25 percentile). She has reached all of her milestones: cooing, laughing, smiling, grasping things, following items with her eyes, etc. She loves for someone to talk to her and mimic the movement of your mouth.

She is growing like a weed!

Fun Filled Weekend

This past weekend we took Chandler and Bailey to Atlanta to visit and meet Jaden and Jacob. It turned out way better than I expected. Chandler and Jaden clicked right away and played together all weekend. Bailey and Jacob clicked and kept each other busy all weekend.

Saturday, we got up and Uncle Danny made bacon, pancakes and eggs for breakfast...yummy! We then got the boys dressed and decided to drive to Hiram to take them to Sparkles Skating Rink. The skating rink had not only skating but laser tag and an inside playground, so the boys had plenty to do. Of course, the first thing they wanted to do was laser tag. So, Uncle Danny, Kevin, and I played laser tag with them....it was so much fun...we actually played two games. James decided he would stay out of laser tag and watch little Addie.
Here are a few pictures of the day:

Sunday, we decided to go to IKEA for breakfast. After getting everyone dressed and ready, we arrived right before the breakfast line closed. After eating, Uncle Danny took all the boys down to the kid area to play while we shopped...it was wonderful not having to deal with kids while walking through the store. By the time we got back to the house, it was 2:00pm. Instead of eating lunch, we decided to let the kids make some popcorn to snack on and then we would have an early dinner. So for dinner, Kevin cooked some delicious ribs, shrimp-steak kabobs, and garlic-parmesan rolls. Uncle Danny made a side salad. Dinner was delicious!! After dinner, we sent the boys back downstairs to play. All four of us adults watched a movie and then went to bed.

Early Monday morning, we packed up and headed for the house...so Monday we did not do much of anything, except unpack the car.

Overall, we all had a wonderful time with Uncle Danny and James. The boys can't wait to go see Jaden and Jacob agian. Thanks guys for a wonderful weekend.

6 weeks old

Today Addie turns 6 weeks old. She is growing so fast. She can now hold her head up for longer periods of time and is starting to smile. She loves laying on the bed in the morning and talking to us while we get dressed.
We are working on getting her on a schedule (now that we don't have football to disrupt it). She loves taking a jacuzzi bath with mommy before bed and is actually sleeping pretty well at night (knock on wood).
Here are some snapshots of the last few weeks.

One Month Old

Halloween

This past Friday, we packed the car up and headed for Atlanta for the weekend. Since Saturday was Halloween, Uncle Danny and James had a party for the boys and their school friends. So, we helped them with the final touches. The boys seemed to have a blast at the party and everyone was very impressed with the decorations.

Pictures from the Halloween Party

Pictures of all the decorations:

On Sunday, we went out to lunch with James and the boys before packing the car and heading back home.
Needless to say, we had a great time and Addisyn enjoyed her first over night trip away from home.

2 Weeks Old

On Thursday, Addisyn turned 2 weeks old. She is growing and changing constantly. She now weighs 7 pounds 4 ounces and is 19 3/4 inches long. She's holding her head up and looking around. She is on a schedule and as long as we stick close to that schedule, she is good while we are "on the go".

This past Saturday, Addisyn had her first tailgating experience. We went up to Columbia before the game to see all of our tailgating buddies. She was very good and had a great time (she slept the whole time). She also got some new Carolina Gamecock outfits to grow into!
