Arriving in North Dakota
The boys finally got to visit Kevin in North Dakota. On the way to Minot from the airport, Kevin stopped at Lake Sakakawea. The lake was still frozen, so of course the boys had to walk on it.
But on the way back up the rocks, the boys decided to attack Kevin with snow balls and he got stuck in the snow!
Needless to say, they were very happy to see him!

Visiting Nanny Cato
Today, Addie and I went to visit Nanny Cato for the first time. Of course, Nanny thought she was a beautiful little girl. As a matter of fact, she said "I've never seen an ugly Cato baby." Nanny really enjoyed sitting outside watching Addie "dance" and listening to her laugh. It was a great afternoon!

North Dakota
This past Tuesday, Addie and I began our journey to North Dakota to visit Kevin. It was long overdue...he has now been gone for 2 months!
Tuesday afternoon we traveled to Atlanta to stay with Uncle Danny and James for the night. Addie and I got to go eat pizza with James and Jaden which was a nice treat. Then it was off to bed because we had a busy day the next day.
Bright and early Wednesday morning, Uncle Danny and Jaden took us to the airport. We boarded our first flight to Chicago. Once in Chicago, we had a 2 1/2 hour layover because our flight arrived early there, so I let Addie stretch her legs and play a little. Then it was off to catch the second leg of our trip - our flight to Bismarck. Addie did great on the plane. She had no problems with taking off or landing. We landed in Bismarck 45minutes early so we were both glad that Kevin was already at the airport waiting on us. After gathering our luggage, we headed to a restaurant called Grizzly's for a bite to eat. Kevin and Addie had a lot of fun "talking" to each other, although it did take a while for her to warm up to him.
After that, we drove to Minot and spent the rest of the evening at the house. Addie was so tired that night but couldn't go to sleep (new surroundings and her daddy was there too)
Thursday morning, Kevin had to work half a day. So while he was at work, Addie did her usual morning routine.
After Kevin got home, we decided to drive around Minot so he could show me the town. Then we went to the Scandenavian Visitors Center. They have really neat buildings.
Addie was then ready for her afternoon nap! So we headed back to the house. Kevin took her downstairs for her nap and this is what I found:
Here are some pictures after she woke up. As you can see on Kevin's face, he was very happy to see her!
Kevin took off Friday and his roomie, Greg, was off too.
Friday morning we went to the base to see where Kevin worked and meet his co-workers. We also took some pictures of the aircraft for the boys. After that, we went shopping at the mall. They have a waterpark in the mall - so cool! At lunch that day, Addie couldn't decide if she liked her squash or her daddy's finger better.
That afternoon, we were gonna take Addie sledding but she feel asleep in the truck.
So, Kevin and I went sledding instead! It was so much fun!
Kevin and I had so much fun playing with Addie on the floor.
Saturday morning we went to the flea market. That afternoon, we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for a snack.
Kevin decided that Addie needed some french fries to chew on instead of his finger. She loved them!
Then she started dancing to the music with her daddy! It was so cute!
The next morning before we left to head back to Bismarck to catch our flight, Addie showed Kevin how she could hold her leg up (she's gonna be a dancer)...or either she was trying to suck her toes again.
We flew back Sunday and arrived in Atlanta around 10pm. Uncle Danny picked us up and we stayed with him for the night. We drove back home Monday to start getting things back to normal at the house.
Needless to say, we did not do much but hang out at the house and we had a blast doing that! Thank you to everyone who helped make this trip possible for me and Addie. We can't wait to go back and see him again in a few weeks!

Minot, North Dakota
Addie and I made it to Minot yesterday around 3pm eastern time. This is Addie chilling in Chicago as we waited on our flight to Bismarck.
